RhythmVision works with youth at risk and special needs individuals. They utilize drumming, rhythm, and the elements of music as a medium to teach the aspects of the Courage Wheel, a Lakota philosophy that emphasizes Belonging, Independence, Mastery and Generosity.
RhythmVision has a mission to reach and help those that struggle to belong to their communities. RhythmVision forms their philosophical teachings from the book, “Reclaiming Youth at Risk,” by Martin Brokenleg. RhythmVision has received the blessings of Martin Brokenleg to teach Lakota philosophies through drumming and music.
RhythmVision is currently working with Renaissance Schools as well as Denver Parks and Recreation in their My Denver and Adaptive Learning programs. They are also working closely with Developmental Pathways.
2017 has seen RhythmVision’s highest success with the sale of over 500 drums and the construction of a building in the shape of the RhythmVision drum at their flagship location, Renaissance Schools.
